This Currach Peated Cask Edition is a modern, lightly smoky single malt Irish whiskey with a unique twist: the whiskey is triple distilled , first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks , and then finished in virgin oak casks charred with Atlantic Kombu seaweed . Peated oak/peated casks were also used for this edition, which adds an extra layer of peat smoke on top of the umami seaweed influence. Bottled at 48.5% ABV, limited to approximately 1,150 bottles . Expect deep peat smoke, sea salt, roasted nuts, caramel, black pepper, dark chocolate, and a salty-umami finish .
