This The Maltman 1977 Vintage is a special Blended Scotch Whisky (meaning: a marriage of both malt and grain whisky) with no less than 45 years of maturation. The blend is composed of malts from Clynelish, Dailuaine, Macduff and Teaninich, supplemented with grain from Invergordon—a combination that often provides a beautiful balance between fruit, waxy texture, soft sweetness and old oak. The bottling is non-chill filtered and has natural colour, and with only 261 bottles, this is clearly a collector's item. At 41.4%, it is aimed at elegance and drinkability: less "powerhouse", more classic, long-rested finesse.
