📍 Campbeltown, Scotland (originally founded in Aberdeen)
Cadenhead's is Scotland's oldest independent bottler, famous for its uncompromising, natural bottlings—no chill-filtration, no colouring, just the pure character of the distillery.
🕰️ History & Philosophy
Founded in 1842 in Aberdeen by George Duncan as a wine and spirits merchant, and later named after his brother-in-law William Cadenhead. Since 1972, the company has been owned by J. & A. Mitchell & Co. – also owners of the Springbank and Glengyle distilleries – and has been based in Campbeltown ever since. The philosophy remains unchanged: to bottle whisky as it comes from the cask.
⚗️ Selection & Production
Cadenhead's bottles single casks and small batches from distilleries across Scotland and the rest of the world (in addition to whisky, also gin, rum, and brandy). All bottlings are non-chill filtered, with no added colouring or other additives.
🍯 Signature & Style
Pure, honest, and unpolished—always true to its origin, from fresh Lowland and Speyside notes to powerful, peat-driven Islay and Campbeltown malts.
🌟 Famous Ranges
Authentic Collection, Original Collection, Small Batch, Cask Ends, and various Shop/Club bottlings.
