Founded in 1836, and owned by the Grant family since 1865, the family has championed independence, craftsmanship, and consistency for six generations. Glenfarclas was one of the first distilleries to commercially sell single malt—a pioneer in its time.

Glenfarclas uses six large copper pot stills heated by direct flame—a rarity in Scotland. The whisky is matured in Oloroso and Fino sherry casks, resulting in a distinctive, full-bodied style.
