The Great Northern Distillery (GND) is Ireland's largest independent distillery and a major supplier of Irish whiskey to independent bottlers and brands.
🕰️ History and Heritage
Founded by whiskey legend John Teeling (founder of Cooley) and his sons on the site of the former Great Northern Brewery — once home to Harp Lager. After the brewery closed in 2013, the complex was converted into a distillery; the first distillate flowed on July 31, 2015.

GND produces the full spectrum of Irish whiskey: malt, grain, and pot still — with a capacity of approximately 17 million liters per year. Many independent bottlers source their whiskey here, making the distillery a cornerstone of the modern Irish whiskey renaissance.
