The name Longrow refers to a former 19th-century distillery in Campbeltown, where Springbank has been reviving the style since the 1970s. Production remains limited, with entirely hand-crafted processes—a first in the modern whisky world.
⚗️ Production and Philosophy
Longrow is double-distilled and produced using heavily peated barley (approximately 50 ppm). Everything is done on-site: malting, distilling, maturing, and bottling. The whisky is matured in bourbon, sherry, and sometimes wine casks, which creates rich layers of smoke and sweetness.
