📍 Methven, Perthshire, Scotland
Strathearn Distillery is one of Scotland's smallest and most artisanal distilleries, located in rural Perthshire.
🕰️ History and Legacy
Founded in 2013 by Tony Reeman-Clark, Strathearn was a pioneer in the Scottish craft distillery movement. In 2019, the distillery was acquired by Douglas Laing & Co, which expanded its focus to small-batch single malt whiskies.
⚗️ Production and Philosophy
Strathearn uses small pot stills and produces just a few casks per week. Long fermentations and handcrafted processes create a rich, full-bodied spirit that is often matured in small, unique casks—from sherry to rum.
🍯 Flavor Profile and Style
Deep and complex with notes of dark chocolate, spices, orange peel and oak.
🌟 Special Bottlings or Collaborations
Known for Strathearn Single Malt, Sherry Cask Matured and Douglas Laing Strathearn Exclusive bottlings.
💎 Why this distillery is special
A true craft distillery that proves that small can often be great — quality over quantity.
