The Teeling family has been distilling since 1782, when Walter Teeling opened a small distillery on Marrowbone Lane. The modern Teeling Distillery, opened in 2015, was the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years.

Teeling is known for its innovative cask aging: rum, port, sherry, and wine casks are used to create unique layers of flavor. The spirit is distilled in three copper pot stills named Alison, Natalie, and Rebecca.
