The nose starts with vanilla and an incredibly strong almond aroma that immediately reminds me of marzipan. There is also an apple note that starts green and sour, but then becomes fruitier and more reminiscent of compote.
The whisky glides oily and mild over the tongue, but immediately afterwards a very strong spice takes over and causes quite a stir in the mouth. In the mouth the apple is clearly dominant, but considerably fruitier and sweeter than the nose suggests.
The slightly bitter black tea. Add some apple and lots of oak, the whole thing dries out quickly and stays medium to long in the mouth.
