Ardnamurchan AD/ Tokaji Cask Release

Ardnamurchan Tokaji Cask Release is a characterful Highland single malt in which Ardnamurchan's robust house style meets Hungarian sweet wine casks in a special encounter. Bottled at 52.0%, this release clearly has strength and structure, without the distillery's artisanal character fading into the background.

For this bottling, the whisky initially matured in 28 bourbon barrels, followed by a finish in Hungarian Tokaji sweet wine casks. The composition was supplemented with two casks fully matured in bourbon barrels, which gives the whisky extra balance and coherence within this pronounced cask profile. The bottling is non-chill filtered and has retained its natural colour, ensuring the whisky reaches the glass as pure as possible. With a run of 8,736 bottles, this is a beautiful, limited release for those who would like to get to know Ardnamurchan from a different side.

The combination of bourbon maturation, Tokaji influence, and the robust alcohol percentage makes this an expressive single malt with enough breadth to take your time with.
