📍 Glenbeg, Ardnamurchan Peninsula, West Highlands, Scotland
Ardnamurchan is one of Scotland's most modern distilleries, with sustainability and traceability at its core.
🕰️ History and Legacy
Founded in 2014 by the independent bottler Adelphi, the distillery was built with respect for nature and technology—powered by local hydropower and biomass. Since 2020, Ardnamurchan has been releasing its whiskies as single malts, which have received immediate acclaim.
⚗️ Production and Philosophy
Ardnamurchan uses both peated and unpeated malts and uses a slow, traditional distillation process. The whisky matures in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. Everything is fully traceable via QR codes on the bottle.
🍯 Flavor Profile and Style
Complex and modern with notes of honey, citrus, smoke, sea salt, toffee and apple.
