McConnell's is a name with Belfast roots and a clear mission: “Restoring the legend”. This 5 Years Old Irish Whiskey is crafted in a style that makes Irish whiskey so beloved: smooth, friendly, and well-rounded, with just enough maturation to provide depth without becoming heavy.
In the glass, you'll find a beautiful balance of vanilla, honey, light toffee, and soft oak, with fresh accents of apple/pear and a mild spiciness towards the finish. At 42%, it has just a bit more body than the standard 40%, making it excellent whether enjoyed neat or in a highball or classic mix (such as Whiskey Ginger or Irish Coffee). An ideal "all-round" Irish for your liquor cabinet.
