Surprisingly little smoke initially; instead, red fruit (red berries, cherries), lemon, grassy notes, and a hint of mineral wine aromas. With more time, pear, mandarin, and melon emerge.
An immediate, dry, campfire-like peat smoke with black pepper, licorice, and a touch of oak, followed by a salty sea breeze. Then the wine notes emerge: blackcurrants, blackberries, raspberries, and cherries, beautifully interwoven with malty sweetness and a hint of citrus zest.
Long and slightly drying, with lingering smoke, red fruit, some buttery oak and a fresh, maritime edge – as if you were sitting on a terrace by the sea with a glass of red wine and a fire in the background.
