The Single Cask Teannich 13YO

This 13-year-old Teaninich, bottled by The Single Cask, shows a different side of the Highland distillery. Distilled in 2008 and matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel (cask #704328), this delivers a distinctly fresh and fruit-driven whisky with a strikingly playful character.

Teaninich is often known for its somewhat tighter, slightly waxy style, but in this bottling, the distillate gets a lively and approachable twist. The first-fill bourbon cask brings bright notes of white fruit, light sweetness, and an almost candy-like expression, without the whole losing its balance.

Bottled at cask strength of 53.8% and with an outturn of only 255 bottles, this whisky remains pure and unfiltered. An expression that does well as a fresh dram, but also has enough depth to discover at leisure.
