The Loch Lomond Distillery, located in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland, was founded in 1964. The distillery began producing whisky in 1965. It is named after the nearby Loch Lomond, one of Scotland’s largest and most scenic lochs, and is surrounded by the majestic Ben Lomond mountain. This natural beauty has inspired the distillery and is an integral part of its identity.

In 1984 the distillery temporarily closed, a period often referred to in the whisky world as a ‘quiet’.
