🕰️ History & Philosophy
Founded in 1868 by Andrew Dewar Rattray, it originally imported wine and olives. In the 20th century, its focus shifted entirely to whisky.
Today, Tim Morrison—a descendant of the founder—heads the company. His family history also includes the famous Bowmore and Auchentoshan, giving the bottler a deep connection to Scotch whisky.
⚗️ Selection & Production
A.D. Rattray selects only casks with a distinctive character. All bottlings are single cask or small batch, non-chill filtered, and natural in color.
Their warehouse on the west coast of Scotland offers a unique maturing climate with soft, maritime influences.
