Founded in 1898 by William Simpson and James Carle, just before the whisky crisis of 1900. Part of Diageo since 1930, Glen Elgin's single malt first appeared as part of the Flora & Fauna collection and has since gained a loyal following.

The distillery uses unpeated barley and a slow, six-hour distillation process for a rich, rounded spirit. Maturation takes place in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks.
