🕰️ History and Legacy
Originally founded in 2010 as Box Distillery, the name changed to High Coast Distillery in 2018 to strengthen its connection with the region. Since then, the distillery has grown into a leading producer of Scandinavian single malts with international recognition.
⚗️ Production and Philosophy
The distillery uses locally grown barley, slowly distilled in copper pot stills. Both peated and unpeated whiskies are produced and matured in a mix of bourbon, sherry, and red wine casks. The northern location ensures slow maturation and deep complexity.
