Ben Nevis is one of Scotland's oldest continuously operating distilleries, located at the foot of the mountain of the same name near Fort William. Since its establishment in 1825, the distillery has been known for a robust Highland style with great depth and character, loved by enthusiasts and independent bottlers alike.
For this 13-year-old bottling from the Cadenhead's Original Collection, maturation in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso hogsheads was chosen. The bourbon casks bring freshness and balance, while the Oloroso casks provide extra complexity and richer layering. The result is a powerful, characterful Highland single malt in which the distinctive Ben Nevis profile remains beautifully intact.
As is customary with Cadenhead's Original Collection, this whisky is bottled at 46% alcohol, without chill-filtration and without the addition of colourants. An authentic Ben Nevis that beautifully combines the classic Highland style and Cadenhead's philosophy.
