Nose

Sweet and inviting, with red berries, vanilla pudding and a hint of pear. In the background, caramel and light woody notes.

Palate

Creamy and approachable. Toffee popcorn, vanilla cream and gingerbread, complemented by fresh orchard fruits and a spicy touch of cinnamon from the new oak.

Finish

Short to medium-bodied and clean, with soft spices and a slightly dry, woody undertone.

Table Whisky is the 'house wine' among the whiskies from The Leith Export Co., the brand behind the Port of Leith Distillery in Edinburgh. Like a good table wine, this whisky is made to be opened without fuss: with a meal, with friends, or simply on a weekday evening.

The grain whisky was distilled in Edinburgh and then matured and blended in Leith. Approximately two-thirds matured in new oak, the rest in ex-sherry casks. The new oak brings vanilla, caramel and a touch of spice; the sherry casks provide red fruit and roundness. Bottled at 43%, with natural colour and non-chill filtered.

An approachable, sweet single grain for those who like to drink whisky without fuss, and also an excellent base for an Old Fashioned.
