The cask, a rich and smooth sherry butt, slowly infused the spirit with dark notes and gentle oxidative warmth. The result was recorded in just 687 bottles , from Cask #1888 , at an elegant 45.2% ABV: just powerful enough to carry the full aroma without sacrificing refinement.
The nose opens with dried fruit, prunes, and soft raisins, followed by a subtle chocolate note and an elegant oak base. The palate is rounded and layered: think ripe berries, mildly sweet sherry notes, candied fruit, and a hint of nuttiness that intertwines beautifully with the aged wood.
