Islay Traditional Cask – Berry Bros. & Rudd

Soft, rounded peat smoke with hints of green apple, pear, and honeydew melon. Malty sweetness, light citrus, and a touch of dried earth/coastal air add depth.

Medium-bodied, oily. The first impression is of smoke and campfire, quickly followed by fresh fruit (apple, pear), honey, toffee, and a light spiciness from the oak. The smoke is present, but elegant—more campfire and ash than iodine bomb.

Mid-long: The peat smoke slowly fades, leaving fruity sweetness, malt and dry, earthy notes – exactly that “classic Islay” feel.
