Nose

A fresh, maritime opening with notes of seaweed, ash, lemon peel and a subtle hint of vanilla.

Full smoke development with layers of peat, iodine and roasted nuts, supported by light fruitiness and a hint of honey.

Finish

Long, dry and complex — with salty smoke, charcoal and a lingering peppery warmth.

The Obscurities & Curiosities – Caol Ila 14 Years Old is a unique bottling in a creative and eccentric series celebrating rare casks from Scotland. This edition, sourced from the legendary Caol Ila Distillery on Islay, is a whisky with character— bold, smoky, and full of life .

The label's striking retro style evokes early 20th-century freak shows and cabinets of curiosities—a playful nod to the "weird" and distinctive nature of this bottling. However, behind the playful appearance lies a whisky of exceptional quality, bottled without additives and at natural strength.
