With Rockside 11 Years Old, Kilchoman presents a whisky that perhaps best summarises the distillery. As Islay's only Single Farm Single Malt, the entire production process takes place on Rockside Farm: from growing the barley to malting, smoking, distilling, maturing and bottling.
For this 11-year-old expression, Kilchoman chose a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. Together, they create an elegant balance of fresh citrus, tropical fruit, soft smoke and refined spiciness. The lighter peat smoke (20 ppm) beautifully highlights the fruity character of the distillate, while the different cask types add extra depth and complexity.
Rockside 11 is a whisky that reflects both the refinement of Kilchoman and the unique character of the farm where it all begins.
