The Mac-Talla PX Limited Edition is a powerful Islay single malt that combines peat smoke and rich sherry influence. Following the success of a previous PX release, Mac-Talla presents another limited edition expression that combines the robust coastal style of Islay with the lush depth of Pedro Ximénez casks.
This small batch matured in a carefully selected combination of first-fill PX sherry butts and refill PX sherry hogsheads. This cask selection creates a distinct character characterized by intensity and balance. The whisky is bottled at a robust 52.8% ABV, natural color, and non-chill-filtered. Pure and unpolished, just as Islay was meant to be.
Mac-Talla, Gaelic for "echo," refers to the island's voice that resonates in every bottling. In this PX edition, that echo takes on an extra dimension: rich, powerful, and with a clear signature of both coast and cask.
